SENIOR PROGRAM OPERATIONS MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Accra

Industry: Oil & Gas

Reports to: Vice President

 

Our client provides advanced technological and cloud-based solutions to various private and public sector companies in Ghana and beyond.

 

Scope

The Senior Program Operations Manager will undertake the preparation and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures, coordinate with stakeholders and technical team to execute projects that would generate revenue for the company.

 

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage, build and maintain cordial working relationships with key stakeholders through regular communication.
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate with the Project Management Office and other internal departments.
  • Proactively monitor the performance of deployed solution, report to stakeholders and take corrective action where necessary.
  • Oversee revenue collection in a timely manner.
  • Comply with health and safety policies and quality system as well as
  • Frequently communicate project progress, timelines, status, schedules, risks, issues, and resolutions to stakeholders.
  • Provide the Sales Team with all available support where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate principles, values and policies.
  • Lead and manage the organization’s specific projects.
  • Ensure regular audits are conducted to facilitate internal and external reports using key data collected.
  • Manage and coordinate the implementation of fuel marking operation activities that expand to new terminals and all other activities.
  • Organize, manage and control the organization’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) required for implementation and operations.
  • Monitor and analyze the marking and testing results daily.
  • Manage, guide and train applicable personnel to include subcontractors, partners, regional agents and clients.
  • Ensure equipment is operating within the confines of the agreed contractual obligations.
  • Establish and frequently report on key performance indicators (KPIs).

 

       Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Petrochemical engineering, any related field of study.
  • A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience in the same or similar role.
  • Knowledge of procedures, standards and application of validation.
  • Working knowledge in project management and service delivery.
  • Extensive experience of government operations in Ghana.
  • Knowledge in the application of safety procedures such as Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
  • Experience in downstream Oil & Gas activities including terminal administration or additive operations.
  • Experience in fuel distribution operations, logistics and auditing.
  • Expert knowledge in drafting and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to travel by air, road, rail or sea to other countries.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and Google suite.
