Role Brief :
Supporting the Portfolio Manager, the role will be responsible for executing portfolio strategies,
mitigating default risk, and achieving cash collection targets. The role involves identifying,
developing, and implementing initiatives for sustainable growth.
The ideal candidate must possess an entrepreneurial mindset, excel in startup environments,
demonstrate creativity, organizational prowess, and a track record of driving KPI achievement,
policy implementation, and data-driven customer management within a large team. The candidate
should adeptly structure and execute performance-boosting plans, leveraging data and market
insights to pilot and scale initiatives across departments.
What you can expect to be doing:
Perform data extraction and analysis tasks for data stored in different databases.
Proactively oversee credit risk at both portfolio and customer account levels, aligning with
Implement efficient operations with aligned organizational structures, tools, standards,
Attain KPIs related to portfolio quality, cash flows, and cost management.
Provide various tasks and analysis at the request of the hierarchy.
Strategy, Analytics & Innovation
Lead the development of a Credit Performance Management Dashboard and action
plans, integrating data from various sources.
Design and execute A/B tests to enhance customer repayment behaviour by identifying
Conduct customer insight research projects to better understand repayment drivers and
scale successful initiatives based on data insights.
Credit Risk Monitoring & Management
Monitor, assess, and anticipate credit risk across the portfolio, and proactively and
sustainably manage credit risk exposure in line with Bboxx Africa's strategy and targets.
Identify key contributors to low performance and create action plans for improvement.
Scalable Credit Operations
Implement efficient credit operations, aligning with Bboxx Group policies.
Create user-friendly tools, optimize data collection, and manage loan servicing
What we are looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Statistics/data analytics and/or Computer Science (programming
and database management).
3 years minimum work experience in data processing, data management and data
SQL Language proficiency: with the ability to extract data via SQL Server, Dbeaver, etc.
Mastery of data processing and analysis software (R, Stata, SAS, SPSS, etc.)
High/ Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (word/excel/PowerPoint).
Proven experience in Database management.
High level of comfort working with multidimensional data, with the ability to translate
analysis to insights, and insights to action.
Intermediate level for English communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects, especially in a high-growth and performance-
Bonus experience if you have it!
Experience with customer segmentation and customer profiling/personas
Experience in process development and improvement (Six Sigma, etc.)
Experience in design thinking (a.k.a. human-centered design)
Data systems and CRM: strong experience with Power BI/data visualization software
